Need a mobile dog groomer in Milwaukee?
The groomer comes to you. A van parks at your place, your dog gets the bath, trim and nails on board, and nobody has to wrestle a wet, unhappy dog back into the car. Call and you'll be connected with a mobile groomer working in the area.

What it costs here
Posted starting prices around Milwaukee, as of November 2026:
| Service | Starts around |
|---|---|
| Full groom | $100 to $225, by size and time |
| Bath, short coat | $90 to $110 |
| Nail trim | $40 to $45 |
Those are published prices, not a quote, and mats, heavy undercoat or doodle curls all push them up. The real figure for your dog comes from the provider on the phone. The full price breakdown shows where each number comes from.
How a visit works
- You call. Mention your address, your dog's size and coat, and where a van could park. Any mats? Say so now, since they change both the time and the price.
- The provider gives a price and a slot. At least one groomer in town works with a one-hour arrival window to allow for traffic and weather, so leave some slack in your day.
- The van pulls up. Most carry their own water tank and a generator or battery. A level spot close to the house matters more than you'd guess.
- Your dog gets groomed on board. Expect roughly one to two and a half hours, depending on size and coat.
- You settle up with the provider, who sets the price and answers for the work.
Good fit, or not?
Probably a good fit
- Your older dog has trouble getting in and out of a car.
- You don't have a car, or you'd rather not spend a Saturday driving to a salon and back twice.
- There's a flat place to park right by your house.
Maybe not
- Price comes first. Mobile generally costs more than a salon.
- Your dog is big. The typical posted limit nationally is 80 pounds, and there's a Milwaukee-area groomer who stops at 25 pounds for new full-groom clients.
- You need it done this week. Lists fill up, and at least one groomer here already has a waitlist.
- There's nowhere level for the van.
Still torn? Put mobile and salon grooming side by side.
A Milwaukee dog's year
Your dog's coat runs on the same calendar you do, and Milwaukee's is a lot more dramatic than most.
Winter
January lows average 17.2°F, and road salt is everywhere. Wipe paws after every walk.
Spring
Tick season normally starts in April. Late spring brings the big shed for thick double coats.
Summer
July highs average 81.9°F, which makes a thick double coat look like a good thing to shave. Talk it through with the groomer first.
Fall
Ticks normally ease off after September, and the undercoat drops again in late fall.
Temperatures are 1991-2020 normals for Mitchell Airport. Read the season-by-season grooming guide.

Quick ones
Does the van use my water or power?
Usually not. Most vans run on their own tank and a generator or battery, though a groomer may occasionally ask for a hose.
Do I have to be home?
That's up to each provider, so settle it when you book.
Does my dog need shots first?
Probably. Wisconsin law requires rabies vaccination anyway, and some groomers want more on record: DHPP is on at least one local list.
